PUBLICATIONS COMMITTEE

MISSION STATEMENT

“The mission of the RSA Publications Committee is to represent the interests of the Society in the management of the Society journal, Alcohol: Clinical and Experimental Research (ACER). The journal is one of the premier outlets for the publication of the most recent findings in all fields of alcohol research, as well as a major source of revenue for the Society. As such, it is of utmost importance to the RSA that the quality of the Journal is maintained and enhanced. The Publications Committee shall represent the RSA in providing oversight to the ACER editorial team and the ACER journal office.  In addition, the Committee, in collaboration with the Journal Editor, will serve as a liaison between RSA and the Publisher. Based on these roles, the Publications Committee will make recommendations to the RSA Board regarding personnel changes, publication contracts and other matters related to the management and business aspects of the journal.  Finally, ACER is a joint venture of the RSA and ISBRA and as such the RSA publications committee shall interact with the ISBRA publications committee and the ISBRA leadership to ensure that the international alcohol research community is fairly represented in the journal and on its Editorial Board and Advisory Council."
