Established in 2023, AREC’s Annual Award is given to an individual who advocates for, implements, or excels at application of ethical practices in alcohol-related research. While AREC maintains a special emphasis on animal research, nominees may apply ethical principles to any field of study within the alcohol research and treatment community. Self-nominations are accepted. Nominations for this award are accepted from RSA members only. Non-members nominated will be considered but are not encouraged. Awardee will be presented with a plaque and a $250 cash prize at the AREC event during the RSA annual meeting.
