The RSA Annual Meeting is the premiere conference for dissemination of scientific knowledge regarding alcohol use and alcohol-related problems. Since 1976, RSA has been providing a forum for communication and career development among alcohol researchers.
RSA's MISSION:
RSA provides a community for sharing scientific discoveries, attracting and supporting career development of the next generation of alcohol researchers, disseminating scientific knowledge regarding alcohol use to our members and the public, and raising public awareness and understanding of the health implications of alcohol use and alcohol-related harm.
2026 RSA Annual Meeting Mentoring Program
The RSA Career Development and Training Committee invites both mentors and mentees to participate in the 2026 RSA Annual Meeting Mentoring Program.
This program connects trainees and early career professionals with experienced members of the RSA community to support professional development, networking, and navigating the Annual Meeting. Participants will be asked to indicate their preferences for a mentor/mentee match, and the committee will make every effort to honor those preferences, though specific matches cannot be guaranteed.
Priority for Mentee matching will be given to first-time attendees who are students or post-baccalaureate trainees from underrepresented backgrounds. The committee will also work to match other interested students, post-baccs, clinical psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows, and early career faculty.
Eligible Mentors include doctoral students, predoctoral interns, postdoctoral fellows, faculty members (or equivalent), professional scientists/clinicians, and industry professionals working in relevant roles.
The application deadline is May 1, 2026.
For questions, please contact Mentoring Subcommittee Co-Chairs Dr. Milena Radoman (milena.radoman@yale.edu) or Dr. Jeff Boissoneault (jboisson@umn.edu).
