The Developmental Alcohol Research Training (DART) Program (T32 AA007453) at the University of Pittsburgh (Pitt) announces the availability of postdoctoral fellowships.
DART approaches training in alcohol research from a developmental, inclusive perspective. Opportunities include participation in research projects with mentors (e.g., developmental changes in antecedents and consequences of alcohol use, neurobiology of addiction, and structural and social determinants of health inequities), a biweekly addictions research seminar, a weekly career development and grant writing seminar, high quality courses offered at Pitt (including the option to earn a master’s degree in public health; research project management), and ability to attend an exceptional breadth of talks by national experts in mental health, statistics, public policy, social justice, and neuroscience. Trainees have access to a highly collaborative faculty committed to high quality training in an affirming environment that fosters inclusivity and values diversity across identities, backgrounds, and perspectives. Through this multilayered approach, the DART T32 supports trainees in becoming highly successful independent investigators engaged in collaborative, multidisciplinary research on alcohol use and related problems.
