ACER Journal Award for Early Career Investigator Outstanding Paper

Alcohol: Clinical and Experimental Research (ACER), the journal of the Research Society on Alcohol (RSA) and the International Society for Biomedical Research on Alcoholism (ISBRA), is pleased to announce awards for outstanding papers published in ACER by early career investigators. These awards recognize outstanding scientific papers by graduate and postdoctoral trainees published in ACER, between January 1 and December 31 the year prior to award. The first author should be a student or postdoctoral fellow at the time of paper submission. In addition to being recognized in ACER and at the annual RSA meeting, awardees will receive a registration waiver for the RSA meeting in the year awarded and a $500 prize.

For consideration, a nomination letter* is required (typically from the senior author) and must describe (1) the eligibility of the student or postdoctoral fellow (first author and a student or postdoctoral fellow at the time of paper submission) (2) the role of the early career investigator in the project and write-up of the manuscript, (3) the potential impact of the research report on the field, and (4) why this individual warrants this recognition.

You will be required to upload (PDF) of Published Manuscript.

*Self-nominations not allowed. Nominator must submit through their RSA Profile.

Nomination deadline is January 31 each year.
